Qu\u2019est-ce que c\u2019est ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Le FIV, ou sida du chat, est une maladie caus\u00e9e par un virus qui r\u00e9duit l\u2019efficacit\u00e9 du syst\u00e8me immunitaire. C\u2019est-\u00e0-dire que je suis plus vuln\u00e9rable aux maladies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Une cohabitation, c\u2019est possible ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Comme son nom l\u2019indique, cette maladie ne concerne que les chats. Elle se transmet par le sang et les relations sexuelles. Je peux donc vivre sans soucis avec d\u2019autres animaux et je peux vivre avec des chats porteurs de la FIV. Je peux aussi cohabiter avec d\u2019autres chats FIV- si je ne suis pas bagarreur car le risque de transmission est tr\u00e8s faible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Je peux vivre des ann\u00e9es, sans que la maladie ne se d\u00e9clare. Souvent nous sommes des porteurs sains.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Et apr\u00e8s ?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Comme tous les chats, nous pouvons tomber malade. La diff\u00e9rence avec un chat non FIV, c\u2019est que nous avons des d\u00e9fenses immunitaires faibles. Cela signifie que nous avons besoin de soins plus intensifs pour nous soigner de certaines maladies et nous serons donc plus sensibles aux infections.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
